Some Paul McCartney Tour Music Revelation
“Maybe I am dismayed that you like me all the time.” — Paul McCartney. I rise by the light of heaven to continue this superb journey into love.
There isn’t any other journey like this. Many of us however, are unaware of this journey. Rather than enter this glorious flow of life we enter a maze of bafflement. There are mornings when I wake up feeling extraordinary. I feel pleasing and full of the lightness of being. Frequently on such mornings I sing a fave song. It’s a song titled “Maybe I’m amazed.”. On mornings like today there is not any “maybe” about it.
It is fine and refined and there’s a sense of being sanctified. As Mary Oliver in her interesting poem “Wild Geese” suggests, “The soft animal of this body” is allowed do what it loves. It loves this dance of life beyond the environs of “my life.” It loves the party that is already here. In his song Paul McCartney sings “Maybe I am astonished that you love me all of the time.” When Paul McCartney wrote these lines he was in a touch of a maze.
He was not sure who he was beyond “Beatle Paul.” It was actually the love and support of his better half Linda that helped him move out of this maze of doubt and unknowing. He comes to realise that he is enough past this role of a Beatle or any other role. This is indicated by the word “Maybe.” He just cannot quite believe how much this girl loves “him.” Is this not fantastic? More superb still is this love is a private love. This private love is pretty but still it is inside time. The truly fantastic thing occurs when you know that you are love itself beyond time.
When you know that you are love everlasting then the word surprising just does not really come near. Beyond even this “I am” is the knower of love all of the time. This is the dazzling present that we journey towards knowing. We climb the mountain of consciousness until we get a peek of the blinding being everybody is at heart. We are made in the image of God and God is Love. Faiths teach us that God is love but still we enter a maze of bafflement.
We take these words to mind but they do not become our heart felt knowing. Rather than know that God is love we feel like believe strongly in Our Lord God. We pick the outline instead of the wonderful experience of going “beyond belief.” The words, “God is Love” have real meaning when you know. To realise that “God is Love” is to understand you are Love. Not that you are loving but you are love itself. Only the fundamental knowing that you’re the Blessing and it’s here now. We think it is disdainful to picture that we may be able to be at one with the Beloved. We forget that we create this illusion of separateness we call “me” and “mine.” We forget who we actually are. If you knew, you also, would be singing “Maybe I’m shocked that you like me all the time.” You too would know there’s no “maybe” about it. You leave the maze of misunderstanding and doubt. You know you are the kid of the Beloved now and forever. It is a journey from exile and the return to the homeplace. So I am going dancing this energy of my soft animal body. I hear this A. M.
Breeze that has methods to inform. “You are amazing.” I wake up and I realize “I am.” This is sufficient.
